Through my art practice I explore women as subject, looking at contemporary issues including themes such as the desire for love and belonging and the search for beauty, deriving inspiration from a combination of lived experience and contemporary female culture. My aim is to develop a visual language that reflects contemporary concerns and to explore the boundaries of stereotypes, observing the line between aesthetic beauty and the darker aspects of female culture.
